Frequently asked questions
Yes. I am fully covered and insured by Salon Gold.
Some venues now require all suppliers to provide their insurance documents to work there. If you are a bride who is booked with me and your venue requires my insurance information please get in touch with me.
You can book your date by emailing me or enquiring through my bridal enquiry form.
I always aim to reply within 48 hours, though it might take a bit longer during busy periods. I will send through my contract and booking information and from there we will secure your date!
A non-refundable booking fee is required to reserve your date, which will be deducted from your final payment. This covers your trial and any admin costs. Unfortunately I can’t hold dates without receiving a booking fee, so your date will stay unreserved until the booking fee is paid.
Anywhere and everywhere!
I’m based in Exeter, but I regularly travel all over Devon, Cornwall, and Somerset for weddings, however, I can travel anywhere in the UK! Travel is priced per mile, with the first 10 miles free.
Planning a destination wedding? Please feel free to get in touch for more info! ✈️
Yes, trials are recommended to all brides! It’s our chance to chat about your big day, the style you’re after, and get to know each other better before the wedding! It enables me to understand your likes, preferences and the vibe of you wedding, whilst giving you the opportunity to feel more at ease with your look before the big day!
And is it okay to change my mind about things?
Absolutely!! Your trial is the perfect chance to try something, change your mind and try something else. Your makeup will also always look better on the day of your wedding, as I have had a chance to understand your face, your preferences and any 'tweakments' that we have discussed between your trial and wedding day. I also emphasise that everything really pulls together on the day with your hair, makeup and dress all aligning to create your vision!
I normally recommend brides book in their trials 2-4 months before your wedding.
This gives you time to adjust skin care routines and try different products before your day without it affecting your look. It also gives you time to have another trial if you desire.
Trials currently take place at my studio, which is located in Marsh Barton, Exeter, normally take around 1.5 hours to 2 hours, so please be aware of this when booking your trial.
Absolutely! Trials for your bridal party are optional, but I recommend it for Mothers of the Bride/Groom who don’t usually wear makeup, or are very particular about their makeup, to ensure they’re comfortable.
If your bridesmaids want a trial, I suggest one bridesmaid has a trial to get a feel for the look we would create on the day.
You can find out my prices by heading over to my services & pricing page, and clicking on Bridal pricing. You can also contact me through my bridal enquiry form or by emailing me at kayleighbmua@gmail.com
Currently I am taking bookings until the end of 2027. If you would like to enquire about 2028 weddings, please contact me towards the end of 2026 to be added to a waiting list.
